Wildlife & Conservation

I’ve been making films in this space for over a decade, most recently specialising in digital, short form and live productions for the BBC’s Natural History Unit in Bristol, UK. I’ve worked with clients including Wellcome, Earthrise and Copa90 to deliver high impact films on a range of environmental and climate issues, which have been carefully designed not only to educate audiences but to inspire them into action.

Outside of my work on impact campaigns, I’ve made films on tree-climbing lions for PBS, 24-hour live broadcasts for Springwatch, and shorts with Sir David Attenborough for BBC Earth.

You can view a selection of the films I’ve worked on for the BBC below. I’d be very happy to discuss any projects that you have in mind in this space, as well as to provide additional examples of my work across other projects and platforms.

  • The Weird Reasons Africa’s Lions Are Climbing Trees

The Weird Reasons Africa’s Lions Are Climbing Trees

Leopards spend a lot of time up trees, with some of them even hunting from above. What’s less common is seeing lions and cheetahs up in the branches. But in the Okavango Delta, all three of these big cats are taking advantage of an aerial position. Experts explain what makes these big cats climb trees. I produced and edited this film for Big Cats Unleashed - a series of digital exclusives for PBS’s social platforms.

  • Sir David Attenborough Gives a Lesson on Seeds

Sir David Attenborough Gives a Lesson on Seeds

Giant seeds, tiny seeds, floaty seeds and flying seeds. Sir David Attenborough gives us a quick biology lesson in all of them. I edit produced this short film, which was released as a digital exclusive alongside The Green Planet.

  • Dive with Giant Manta Rays in Mexico in 3D 360

Dive with Giant Manta Rays in Mexico in 3D 360

What’s it like to dive alongside ocean giants? Adventure under the waves with marine biologist Erick Higuera and find yourself face to face with some of our oceans most curious and majestic creatures. This dive experience was filmed in 3D 360 and utilises spatial sound. Turn up the volume and take a deep breath. I was part of the development and delivery team on this technical project.
